Stem Legal Web Enterprises is pleased to announce that Jordan Furlong has joined the company as Senior Consultant and principal for our forthcoming Media Strategy consulting services.
Mr. Furlong is a lawyer, former legal journalist, thought leader and consultant, with more than a dozen years’ experience leading three top Canadian legal periodicals. For the past decade, he has served as Editor-in-Chief for the CBA’s National magazine, where the publication earned awards from both the Canadian Business Press and the Canadian Association of Journalists. He founded and served as Executive Editor of the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association’s CCCA Magazine, and has held the position of Managing Editor with The Lawyers Weekly.
Since January, 2008, Jordan has also been an award-winning blogger at Law21: Dispatches From a Legal Profession on the Brink, where he chronicles the extraordinary changes underway in the legal profession. He is an Honourary Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management and Chair of the College’s InnovAction Awards.
Jordan brings a wealth of experience to Stem, along with a deep understanding of how lawyers and law firms can effectively raise their profile. He will advise clients on both traditional communications and cutting-edge online initiatives, demonstrating how both efforts are integral to lawyer marketing and form the foundation of media coverage. Jordan’s experience will be an excellent resource for any law firm looking to develop a comprehensive media strategy; or collaborating with lawyers looking to develop new marketing tactics that optimize coverage in both online-circles and traditional media.
Jordan’s advice will be included immediately for Stem monthly retainer clients, and shortly as a single-engagement consulting service. Firms interested in retaining Jordan are invited to reach out to him in the coming weeks as he gets settled.
Until then, from all of us here at Stem: “Welcome Jordan!”
