Hissey Kientz Adds ‘Reglan’ Practice Area

Stem client Hissey Kientz LLP, a product injury firm based in Austin, Texas, released two news items this past week:

  • The firm added a new section to its website dealing with the stomach disorder drug Reglan and its possible side effects. The FDA released a black-box warning for the drug on February 26th, 2009. Reglan can cause an involuntary movement disorder called tardive dyskinesia.
  • Hissey Kientz also announced its support for a new bill that would protect the rights of victims of asbestos exposure who have developed malignant mesothelioma. Relating to the standard of causation in claims involving mesothelioma caused by exposure to asbestos fibers, Senate Bill 1123/House Bill 1811 would “help to bring the state’s laws relating to asbestos in accord with mainstream legal standards for mesothelioma cases.” News related to asbestos exposure and mesothelioma can be found at Hissey Kientz’s microsite, Mesothelioma Lawyers Help.
