Rob Wilson is Stem Legal’s Web Development Director. Rob works directly with clients, coordinating all technology changes to their web properties. He is also our lead developer for new website construction, assisting clients through the development process from visual planning to launch of an engaging, interactive user experience.
Rob has been creating websites since the early 1990s, and has substantial experience with Content Management (CMS) products such as WordPress. He enjoys developing custom solutions that extend beyond the basics, and has notably created web applications supporting e-commerce, interactive quote building, inventory control, and online training tools, to name a few.
After graduating from the University of British Columbia with a B.A. and B.Ed., Rob led UBC’s early digital efforts as the University’s first Web Strategist, working out of the UBC Public Affairs unit. Passionate about all things technology-related, Rob has since worked with hundreds of local organizations such as the Vancouver Police Department, the BC College of Nurses, Columbia Power, General Paint, and Conair Aerospace to effectively leverage the Internet to achieve their goals.
Rob has presented on web and marketing topics to numerous conferences and seminars over the past 15 years, including the National Association of College and University Attorneys, the Canadian Association of University Research Administrators, and the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education.
Outside of Stem, Rob continues his role as the founder of iContext Internet, a Vancouver-area web company working with small and mid-size companies since 1994.
