Product injury firm Hissey Kientz LLP has just added a new practice page for Fleet Phospho-soda, a saline laxative that has been linked to renal failure and acute phosphate nephropathy.
The page describes Phospho-soda, which was also sold as Fleet Phospho-soda EZ-Prep Bowel Cleansing System, its side effects, and news on recalls and lawsuits. In late 2008, the product was recalled shortly after the FDA issued a health alert, warning that Fleet Phospho-soda posed a risk of causing kidney damage, and should only be available by prescription.
Hissey Kientz helps clients who have suffered kidney damage, acute phosphate nephropathy, or renal failure after using Fleet Phospho-soda products for bowel cleansing before a colonoscopy.
